Regent Homes recently took out three awards at the 2016 HIA South Australian Design Awards, including Best Display Home for The Manhattan, which was built using Hebel.
Construction Supervisor and Coordinator Brad Sugars says the win was a big achievement for the team.
“Winning was a great reward for everyone involved with these homes. It’s good to know that all the work you put in gets recognised and that you are heading down the right path,” Brad says.
The Manhattan home was built with Hebel external wall systems, which Brad says helped to benefit the design.
“We used Hebel for the upstairs external walling as it is lighter in weight and easier to install. Speed of construction also meant that we didn’t need to have scaffolding up for as long,” Brad explains.
“The use of Hebel also means that occupants enjoy benefits such as increased thermal performance and acoustic qualities, helping The Manhattan come out on top.”
Hebel is used in many of Regent Homes’ builds, mainly for wall cladding and flooring, with clients often having done their research.
“When clients choose Hebel it’s usually for thermal advantages and speed of construction, plus if they want a rendered finish all the way around their home the cost is relatively similar to brickwork,” Brad says.
“We’re also finding that these days, homes are designed with more articulation and more materials, compared to 10 or 15 years ago when everyone was just using brick.”
Brad believes the win will give Regent Homes an advantage in the competitive South Australian market.
“The recognition will reassure our existing customers that they’ve chosen the right builder and hopefully show potential customers that we are a quality builder,” Brad explains.
Brad says Regent Homes is on a good path with their quality builds, and their prestigious win only reaffirms this.
Congratulations to Brad and all of the Regent Homes team!
