Alan Johnson on why Hebel is always selected for Meriton projects – Part 2
The Chief Architect of Meriton Apartments, Alan Johnson, attributes the fact that only Hebel is used for the internal party walls in Meriton’s many apartments to a number of important qualities.
These are qualities that benefit both the people who work with the product during construction and those who live in the apartments where the Hebel internal walls have been installed.
Acoustic quality is ‘a blessing’
“The Hebel acoustic properties are a blessing, and make the installation process much easier,” said Alan.
“Another advantage is that a Hebel wall has a very solid feel, which people like.”
As well as feeling solid when touched, Hebel internal walls are in fact steel reinforced and therefore have the strength and solidity of a masonry wall.
Among Meriton’s many other residential apartment projects is the recently completed Epping Park development at Epping.
Situated on Epping’s highest point, with outstanding views over the city and district, Epping Park consists of 17 buildings of varying heights, covering three hectares of parklands and open space. With a total of 797 units and one retail outlet, Epping Park offers communal features such as landscaped parks, walkways and resort style recreation facilities. Just some of those facilities include heated lap pools, spas, saunas, a tennis court, fully equipped gymnasiums, a large children’s playground and an on-site child care centre.
The one, two and three bedroom apartments within the complex offer a choice of single and split level layouts with quality inclusions.
Prominent among these quality inclusions are the Hebel intertenancy walls, with their special fire resistant and acoustic properties, along with their various other benefits, contributing to the comfortable lifestyle and wellbeing of residents.
“People can be confident that the Hebel walls give them security and privacy between apartments,” said Alan.
