5 leading building companies tell us why they choose Hebel
Over the past few years, we have spoken to dozens of building companies big and small, about how they use Hebel. While they are all different, they do have one thing in common – they use Hebel to design modern and comfortable homes for their clients.
But what are the key benefits that attract them to using Hebel? To help answer this question, we’ve asked five of Australia’s leading building companies why they choose Hebel.
Ausmar Homes
Ausmar are multi award winning, new home builders on the Sunshine Coast.
They aim to create minimal fuss for clients throughout the building process – something that Hebel helps them achieve. Business Unit Manager, Sean Fraser explains:
“Hebel is used throughout the business on a regular basis because of benefits like ease of construction and reduction in site wastage. It’s a smooth system to work with out on site, which not only assists site supervisors, but also gives customers a good quality finished product with flat walls and great finishes. Wherever we have render, we generally apply Hebel.”
It’s not hard to see why Hebel is great in terms of speed and ease of construction when you consider that one panel is the equivalent of 75 traditional bricks.
Regent Homes
Hebel panels have superior insulation qualities compared to other masonry products, reducing the need to use heating and cooling as much. In a time of rising energy costs, using Hebel makes sense.
Brad Sugars from Regent Homes, a new home builder based in Adelaide, has certainly come to realise this.
“These days with rising electricity and utility costs, people are doing more research to enjoy the advantages from the building products they use, and there is a trend towards using more products like Hebel,” Brad says.
Porter Davis
One of the biggest ways the building industry has changed in the past ten years is the shift towards housing that is sustainable and environmentally conscious. Which is why multi award-winning home builder Porter Davis has evolved and changed the materials they use to meet this demand. Josh Darling, State Manager QLD, explains one of the reasons they regularly use Hebel.
“Designed with the environment in mind, Hebel panelling reduces greenhouse gas emissions, exterior noise and the need to cool the home.”
Metricon
Metricon is one of Australia’s leading home builders, named Australia’s largest residential builder by the Housing Industry Association in 2017, 2016, 2015, 2012 and 2011.
Hebel features heavily in Metricon designs, because they see it as a flexible product that complements modern design. Design Manager, Ricky D’Alesio, explains why he believes it’s such a great product.
“One of the reasons we love it is because of its rendered characteristics. Unlike bricks there is no limit to the colours available to a rendered home. With Hebel there is also more architectural scope, because you can play with shapes and profiles.”
Solar Solutions Design
Solar Solutions Design is a home design company that creates homes that achieve the highest energy ratings and comfort levels. Darren Evans from Solar Solutions Design has a lot of experience when it comes to designing homes in bushfire zones. When building in areas that have a high Bushfire Attack Level (BAL), he regularly turns to Hebel because of its fire-resistant properties.
“Hebel is our go to product for bushfire zones. It allows us to design with freedom knowing it has all the properties we need to keep the home and our client safe and protected” Darren explains.
Building with Hebel has a number of benefits for builders as well as home owners. It’s quick to build with, has great insulation properties, is eco-friendly. has great design flexibility and can be used in bushfire zones.
