Introducing Hebels new Designer range

A Hebel home is beautiful, solid and comfortable to live in. Hebel panels perform well thermally, helping to keep your house cool from the heat in summer, and keeping it warm and cosy in winter. That means less reliance on heating and cooling and can lead to savings on energy costs.

Great acoustic performance means a reduction in noise between rooms, and floors, creating a quiet and peaceful home. Also, all Hebel products are non-combustible making it the safe and secure choice in bushfire zones.

Better still, Hebel is an environmentally friendly product, making it the smart choice.

Fixed to steel or timber frames the system is extremely robust and is non-combustible, making it low-risk and ideal for bushfire prone areas. Measuring 75mm thick, the panels perform well thermally, keeping your house cooler in summer and warmer in winter, without relying on costly heating and cooling appliances.

Hebel PowerPanel50 used for external walls is a great addition to Hebel’s suite of external wall systems. Available in a number of lengths for fast and easy installation without compromising on quality, the Hebel PowerPanel50 is a versatile product that can be used for external and internal walls as well.

Q. I’ve built my house in Hebel – can I fix items like external lights or speakers to it?

We are often asked about how to secure fittings to Hebel walls – items such as light fittings, taps, downpipes, clotheslines, hot water services and hose reels.

It’s important to seek advice on your individual home from your builder or designer before drilling holes or securing any loads onto Hebel walls.

Using the right fitting for the relevant fixture will help avoid damage occurring to the wall.

Holes can be drilled in Hebel walls using a masonry drill bit fitted to a standard (not rotary hammer) drill. Once the penetration has been filled with the required cables or the like, the gap around the penetration should be filled with a reputable flexible sealant such as Sikaflex polyurethane sealant.

Fixing heavy and/or vibrating loads
Heavy or items such as gates, decks, pergolas, clothes lines, carports and basketball hoops can cause vibrations or excessive loads on Hebel walls.
The solution is fixing them to posts that are independent of the wall will ensure the load isn’t directly transferred to the Hebel panels or blocks.

Q. If I damage my Hebel wall, how do I repair it?

Surface knocks and scratches can be touched up with the same surface coating finish that was applied at construction, like any masonry wall. In the event you are unsure, contact your builder for advice.

If the damage extends beyond the coating system and into the Hebel wall, professional advice should be sought to ensure the damage has not compromised the integrity of the wall.
